Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
