Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
